Mick Flannigan Please ignore "government policy". There is supposed to be a LOCAL planning system! It should not be dictated by ministers and planning inspectors who know very little about local circumstances....and who care even less. Generally (and with due respect to honorable exceptions), there is far too much tolerance of gypsies/travellers and their anti-social conduct and lifestyles. Their activities have been a real pain at various locations around the borough. 19 Dec 2016 13:56
FEDORA (David Cooke) I am not sure why it is assessed that we need 2-9 more sites? Surely we are not encouraging people to become travellers? It should be the reverse and to encourage them to live in regular houses THIS PART OF THE COMMENT HAS BEEN REDACTED. 06 Jan 2017 13:27

V Braun If this Borough is the 4th most expensive place in the country - we should not make specific plans nor investments to support travelling people, they should be accommodated in areas less expensive, to NOT add pressure to the high demand and costs in this Borough. 08 Jan 2017 19:36
Anna Davies Very intimidating driving past existing traveller sites. We don't need any more locally. 09 Jan 2017 09:04
Deleted User The Council has assessed the need to provide Gypsies and Travellers with 23 pitches (and Travelling Showpeople with 2 plots of land). There is no guidance in the New Local Plan as to where these would go 10 Jan 2017 12:40
Deleted User Long Ditton already has a Travellers site which I believe also has a certain number of `permanent` residents. 10 Jan 2017 13:08
Deleted User Their lease should require them to keep their plots free of rubbish. 10 Jan 2017 17:22
