Zdenek Cerny No, I disagree 20 Feb 2017 17:11
Zdenek Cerny The following fundamental purposes of the Green Belt are omitted, i.e. :
- to check the unrestricted sprawl of large
built-up areas;
- to prevent neighbouring towns merging
into one another;
I believe that developing Area 58 would clearly contravene the above aims as there would be no longer any open land between communities of Tolworth/Hook, Long Ditton, Hinchley Wood, resulting in a continuous urban sprawl.

Yomi Akin No, I disagree 20 Feb 2017 21:00
Yomi Akin whilst I agree with the need for certain types of accommodation to fulfil the requirements, I think there has to be greater consideration given to what is already pre-existent. Perhaps greater focus should be placed on how to make better use of buildings and structures in the area as opposed to razing green belt areas to meet a perceived insurmountable need. It seems to me a bit of a cop out. the real challenge here is to actually look at what is available and and work around it. 20 Feb 2017 21:00
Yoko Crow Elmbridge has already stated previously that a central part of its core strategy is to protect the Green Belt and this should remain an absolute. Also, Cobham/Stoke d’Abernon/Oxshott have severe constraints due to enclosure by A3/M25. To maintain the environment andavoid further pollution 24 Feb 2017 09:46

Yatin Prema I wish to refer to Consultation questions 1,4,5 & 6. I support EBC’s evaluation and the selection of option 2. The Green Belt assessment, especially identifying Dark Green where Drake Park is proposed and the Light Green for Cobham and Long Ditton, is critical to ensure the effectiveness of the Green Belt. Maintaining Walton on Thames, Hersham and Molesey identity is so critical. 30 Jan 2017 10:17
