Deleted User It is ridiculous leading with the question. You should have asked Residents if the Arup report and the three options should have been proposed to Residents in the first place and the answer is No.

There are the following additional key challenges:

• To retain the quality of life for existing residents in Elmbridge
• To address infrastructure requirements
• To resolve the transport congestion in our area – Cobham/Stoke d’Abernon/Oxshott have severe constraints due to enclosure by A3/M25
• To avoid further development on our Green Belt
• To avoid further urbanisation and in-fill
• To maintain the environment and avoid further pollution
• Elmbridge has already stated previously that a central part of its core strategy is to protect the Green Belt and this should remain an absolute
• To take account of the value of green spaces for the recreation of local people

James Riley To retain the quality of life for all residents in Elmbridge.
To address infrastructure requirements for Schools, Doctors, transport congestion etc.
To maintain strong protections for the Green Belt and avoid urban sprawl as the Government promised us.
To maintain the environment and avoid further pollution.
To take account of the value of green spaces for the recreation of local people.

Deleted User • I strongly disagree. As a long-standing resident of Cobham, I do not think the challenges set out are the key ones at all.
• In my view, the quality of life of existing residents has diminished significantly over the last years. I list below what for us are the key issues that need urgent addressing before building new housing estates and worsening the situation
• The road system is exceptionally inadequate. Roads in Cobham and Oxshott are constantly congested and in bad condition (plethora of pot holes). The river Mole floods frequently. Further flooding occurs due to deficient drainage systems in the area. Severe train congestion, a lack of safe pavements, foot paths, cycle lanes, leisure facilities for children, and insufficient facilities for the elderly are further points needing your urgent attention.
