FEDORA (David Cooke) There is a lot about economics and housing but very little on preserving open countryside in terms of its landscape, recreational and wildlife value.

Basically the Elmbridge area is already "full".

Rachel Warren There is a wider challenge of how much London and the South East should be developed at the expense of other regions of the country. This should be addressed at national level rather than piecemeal by individual local authorities.

The overdevelopment of the south east of England is not sustainable and detrimental to the country as a whole. There are wider challenges of national transport networks (road and rail) that can only be addressed by national government.
