LDF Core Strategy Housing Target Consultation

The purpose of this consultation is to offer people the opportunity to comment on those parts of the submitted Core Strategy that are affected by the changes to the planning system introduced by the Government.
The key areas of consideration are:
- Setting a local target and distribution for housing delivery; and
- Setting a local pitch requirement for Gypsies, Travellers and Travelling Showpeople.
The consultation document sets out the Council's proposed targets and the justification for these. We want to know your views before we make a final decision as to whether these should be incorporated in the Core Strategy for consideration by an inspector.
The consultation will run for a 4-week period from Monday 6th September to Monday 4th October 2010.
