1939 (Elizabeth Ann) Housing is not enough reason to destroy or eat into beautiful Green Belt. Other avenues should be really explored and made use of. The Council has not assessed the viability or contribution to the physical health, and spiritual uplift of the communities and nature, of these so called moderately performing sites.
Providing infrastructure for these identified sites would be vastly complex and expensive.
Other options outside Green Belt should be assessed and considered first.

1963 (Will Durston) Green Belt land should be protected, regardless of the level of performance. The Green Belt was originally identified to prevent urban sprawl, and to stop towns & villages merging. If we allow any Green Belt to be developed, it will inevitably lead to further development and ultimately to the loss of all Green Belt land. There should be enough brownfield sites to meet the borough's needs, and these need to be thoroughly investigated first. 21 Feb 2017 19:45

1981 (Oliver Bath) All Green belt should be protected and once gone it's gone for good. This would be very sad. Again, government manifesto pledge to protect the greenbelt should be adhered to. I strongly believe that th brownfield site need to be fully considered as an alternative. Unmet housing needs is not an exceptional circumstance to remove land from our Green Belt. 22 Feb 2017 10:25

A Emery All Green Belt should be protected to prevent urban sprawl, stop towns and villages merging and to safeguard the countryside from encroachment. Our communities need to be protected, not destroyed. Once Green Belt is gone, it's gone for good.
